⍺-HIDROXY ACIDS: extracted from fruits where they have a protective action against dehydration. If applied on the skin, glycolic, malic and tartaric acids have a delicate exfoliating action reducing corneocytes cohesion. They stimulate cutaneous regeneration and the endogenous synthesis of collagen and elastin; they also enhance the typical barrier-like function of the skin, as they reinforce its natural acidity.
CORAL CLAY: renowned for its intense yet delicate exfoliating action, it purifies and rebalances the scalp. Since it facilitates the asportation of dead cells, it is an excellent remedy in the case of dandru. In addition, thanks to its richness in minerals and trace elements, it provides the skin cells with essential nutrients and vitality. It regulates the production of sebum and has strong absorbing power so is therefore recommended in the case of greasy skin featuring an excessive or irregular production of sebum. Besides regenerating the scalp, it facilitates hair cleansing, attracting even the smallest particles of dirt, hence maintaining the hair clean for a long time.
PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL: is a natural sedative that helps to soothe irritated skins, nourish dry skins and rebalance the production of sebum. It helps to stimulate blood ow in the hair root area, hence increasing the supply of nutrients that fortify the hair and help it grow correctly. LITSEA CUBEBA ESSENTIAL OIL: is an extremely precious essential oil obtained from the fruit of this small tropical plant called “mountain pepper”. It has a pale yellow color and an intense scent like the citrusy-floral hints of Vervain and Lemongrass. Renowned for its antibacterial and sebum-regulating properties, it is often used for treating greasy skin. It is well-known in aromatherapy for its stress-relieving effect; it also has an intense tonic and anti-infiammatory action on the skin, which makes it useful in case of problematic skins, dermatitis and dandruff.

Since it has a great a nity with textures rich in keratin such as the hair and the scalp, it facilitates the removal of those same dead cells responsible for the formation of dandruff. Piroctone olamine also has an important local antiseptic action, partly ascribable to its antioxidant action and partly to its intrinsic broad-spectrum antibacterial action.
ZANTHALENE: also known as “Sichuan pepper”, it is an oily spice with multiple properties. It has been used for thousands of years due to its antipruritic and painkilling effect on the dermis and has been recently studied in the form of an oily extract in cosmetic products with soothing properties. It alleviates irritation and reddening thanks to its relieving and soothing action. On the scalp it reduces itching as it causes a depletion of neurotransmitters at the level of sensory nerve terminals, hence having a temporary local anesthetic action that limits skin sensitivity.
